Kento Momota is confirmed to be Anthony Sinisuka Ginting’s opponent for the second round of Blibli Indonesia Open 2018 which will be held tomorrow, Thursday (5/7) in Istora Senayan Jakarta.

The matter was confirmed after Momota surprised the public by beating Kidambi Srikanth, the No. 4 seed for the tournament through the score of 12-21, 21-14, 21-15 in a match that was held earlier today, Wednesday (4/7).

Facing Ginting, Momota hopes to be able to show his best performance despite pressure from Istora crowd pressure as Ginting will certainly have all the support from the public in Istora.

“I hope on tomorrow’s match against Ginting I would not be much affected by the pressure, because the supporters in Istora will definitely," support Ginting.

The statistics show that Ginting and Momota have played each other for three times on the last couple years. The record between them is a 2-1 lead for Momota. On the last encounter between the two, during Malaysia Open 2018, Ginting had to admit Momota’s quality after finishing a three-set match with the score of 21-12, 17-21 and 14-21.

Meanwhile, the No. 2 seed from South Korea, Son Wan Ho had to leave Blibli Indonesia Open 2018 earlier than expected, after he received severe injury on his left calf during his first round match against the Danish Player, Hans Kristian Vittinghus. The match was ended with the score of 6-11 for Hans.
