The Indonesian team managed to bag two titles in this tournament, while the target was to only secure one title from the tournament.
“We have to be grateful as Blibli Indonesia Open 2018 was organized well and turned out to be a success. This happened because of the hard work of every one of us.” As stated by Achmad Budiharto, the General Secretary of PP PBSI.
“The result that we achieve is also satisfactory, we grabbed two titles. This result is a delight to all of us as this exceeds the target that was previously been mentioned by Susi Susanti (The Head of Player & Performance Development of PP PBSI),” he added.
The last time Indonesia grabbed two titles while playing as a host was during the 2008 Indonesia Open. On that occasion, the titles were won by Sony Dwi Kuncoro in the men’s singles event and by Vita Marissa/Liliyana Natsir in the women’s doubles event.
