One of the many that has been confirmed to play in the coming tournament is world’s no. 1 men’s doubles from Indonesia, Marcus Fernaldi Gideon/Kevin Sanjaya Sukamuljo. The pair is confirmed to both participate on the event and be the main focus that are hoped to bring the title to all Indonesian fans coming to the venue.
As interviewed after the latest press conference on Monday (14/5), in Fairmont Hotel, Jakarta, Marcus/Kevin are confident that they are ready to bring out their best for the tournament that reward the winner to the total sum of USD 1.250.000.
“Definitely our target is to win. The biggest challenge may come from both Denmark China. Naturally we have had a pretty good preparation as this is Indonesia’s finest tournament. We are sure that we really want to win it,” as expressed by Marcus.
“The atmosphere of this tournament is very different. Sometimes, when the spectators get too loud we can barely hear the shuttlecock being struck. Certainly this boasts our motivation. Thus, we believe that we must have a good preparation and bring out the best,” Kevin adds.
