Kento Momota, the Japanese key men’s singles player is returning to the world-class tournament series after ending his long-term ban from BWF. The return of Momota excites many people since he is back to show his extraordinary performance to the public.

On Thursday (5/7), Kento managed to win the game in the round of 16 of Blibli Indonesia Open 2018 after beating the home crowd’s favorite player, Anthony Sinisuka Ginting. Momota has previously beaten Ginting during the last encounter between them in Malaysia Open which was held last week.

Playing against the host does not put Momota under pressure or diminish his performance. He even overturned the game on the second set and managed to secure the ticket to the quarter final after ending the two-game match of 21-14, 21-15. He claimed that he can feel that he received many supports while playing against Ginting.

“In the beginning I was a little bit under the pressure from the supporters (of Ginting), but I’m sure that there are many people who also support me, I know that and I believe that, that’s why I played all out”.

With the confidence of having supporters who are rooting for him, Momota is having his spirits boosted and will continue playing all out even if he sees yet another home player in this tournament.

In the round of 8 which will be held on Friday (6/7), Momota will see either Tommy Sugiarto (INA) or Choe Tien Chen (TPE) who are about to play their match later this evening. We shall wait on who will be Momota’s opponent on the round of 8, if it is Tommy, then Momota will see yet another Indonesian player for the second time in this tournament.
