Jakarta | The Women’s Singles player from Denmark, Mia Blichfeldt has to face a long and tiring match in her first match of Blibli Indonesia Open 2019 BWF World Tour Super 1000. Playing in Istora Senayan, on Wednesday (17/7), Blichfeldt finally won the match against the player from Hong Kong, Yip Pui Yin through a three-set match of 19-21, 21-15 and 21-17 which lasted 67 Minutes.

“This match is very tiring. The match is like a roller coaster, I was left behind and there were a few occasions where she was leading and it kept going throughout the match until I finally won the match,” said Mia Blichfeldt to Djarumbadminton.com.

Blichfeldt claims that Yip is one of the toughest opponents that are not easy to be beaten. “I think I have played quite well today. Both of us kept attacking each other since the first set until the third set, so I had to stay focused throughout the match. Yes I think that she is a tough opponent to be beaten. This will be my first victory here, and I am very happy with it,” she said.

Through to the second round of Blibli Indonesia Open 2019 BWF World Tour Super 1000, Blichfeldt will face yet another tough opponent and that is the fifth seeded player from India, Pusarla V. Sindhu. This will be the third match between these players.

In the first meeting between these two during Singapore Open 2019 BWF World Tour Super 500, Blichfeld had to admit Sindhu’s superiority after beaten through the score of 13-21 and 19-21. “I have lost twice from Sindhu, maybe this third meeting will be the match that brings luck to me,” she added.
