“The preparation for the organization of the event is running well and now we are preparing to strengthen the project members’ physical condition. For the player, what is left for the preparation is only to finalize the technique training and play-by-play strategy,” said Achmad Budiharto, the Chief Project Officer for Blibli Indonesia Open 2019 World Tour Super 1000.
The organizers are starting to conjure up Istora on Thursday (11/7), by installing the warming up hall. Meanwhile, on Sundah (14/7), Budiharto is setting a deadline to the court installation and then the Stadium’s condition rearrangement will be 90% complete. On Monday (15/7), it is hoped that they can already start with the final preparation.
Spectator’s activity during Blibli Indonesia Open 2019 BWF World Tour Super 1000 will be adorned by several ‘Instagramable’ spots that are also representing Badminton. These spots are hoped to be a unique proposition for those spectators coming to Istora Senayan, Jakarta.
“We are preparing the infrastructure, spectators can be free to express themselves and capture these with their own camera. There will be a new portable and will definitely represent the Badminton itself and it can only be found in BIO,” He said.
Furthermore, Budiharto added that the organizers have also anticipated public’s great interest of watching the game live in Istora during Blibli Indonesia Open 2019 BWF World Tour Super 1000.
Moreover, the tickets sold through online ticket sale have already been sold out since all Badminton lovers from all around Indonesia are looking forward to watch the game live in the venue.
“We cannot accommodate online ticket sale anymore, but there will be tickets sold On The Spot in the venue. There will be at least 100 tickets sold for each class per day. For Black class, we will sell more than 500 tickets per day. Meanwhile, there will be around 100 tickets for Blue and Red class , because the online tickets buyers were all purchasing 6-day pass tickets and Blue class,” said Budiharto speaking about the tickets.
“For those who are unfortunate about the ticket, when they have lined up but failed to get the ticket, as planned there will be a few big screen around the venue, so that people can watch the game surrounded by the bazaar. According to the plan, there will be three big screens, starting from the first round,” He added.
Nonetheless, the organizers are re-assessing the venue arrangement within Istora to check whether it is possible to increase the capacity for the spectators. “We are optimizing spaces within Istora to increase capacity. Such as; initially there will be long lines of TV and now we are reducing these lines so that it can be utilized by the spectators. However, the decision can only be made once all are installed,” He said.
In addition to that, the organizers are also increasing the prayers room capacity that during last year’s tournament was not enough to accommodate people during prayers time. Hence, the organizers have prepared the layout to increase the prayers room and also the water for ‘Wudhu’.
