Jakarta | The Women’s Doubles pair from Thailand, Puttita Supajirakul/Sapsiree Taerattanachai immediately spreading threats after winning the first match of Blibli Indonesia Open 2019 BWF World Tour Super 1000 through a two-set match of 21-17 and 21-18 against the English pair, Chloe Birch/Lauren Smith in the match that was held in Istora Senayan, Jakarta on Wednesday (17/7).

“All of them. We want to face all of the opponents and we want to beat them all,” said Sapsiree Taerattanachai and Puttita Sipajirakul to Djarumbadminton.com.

Although the pair managed to grab the first victory of the tournament, Puttita/Sapsiree claims that both them are still not happy with the performance. This is because they failed to show all the qualities thet have in Today’s game. “We were not on our best performance. Today was neither good or bad, it was average,” said Sapsiree.

Furthermore, Sapsiree also commented on Birch/Smith’s performance that, according to her, was still inconsistent in both playing offense and defense. The English Women’s Doubles pair was able to put the score level 18-18 after they were left behind by four points. However, after that moment their performance was declining and they made a lot of unforced errors.

“They performed well, but not that well. They made a lot of unforced errors too. But we were able to take control of the game from them,” she added.

With this result, Puttita/Sapsiree is through to the Round of 16 of Blibli Indonesia Open 2019 BWF World Tour Super 1000. In the next round, the Thai pair will face the seventh seeded pair from Japan, Shiho Tanaka/Koharu Yonemoto.
