Jakarta | Indonesian supporters’ chants are starting to heat up Istora Senayan, the venue that is located within the Gelora Bung Karno stadium complex, on the first day of Blibli Indonesia Open 2010 BWF World Tour Super 1000.

The supporters do this to support the Indonesian Men’s and Women’s badminton players that are playing against their opponents, on Tuesday (16/7).

From the 7.600 seat capacity of Istora Senayan, half of them are already taken by the supporters. The supporters are singing their chants to support the Indonesian players who are playing in court.

The supporters also often show their attractions and chants to support the players in court, which are hoped to boost the athletes’ motivation. This kind of support receives compliments from the foreign players as these kinds of supports are rarely seen in the other countries.

Although Today is still the first day of the tournament, Istora Senayan is already crowded. Even some of these supporters come to the stadium with their face painted with Indonesian flag. Reno (33), who has his face painted claims that he feels very confident in supporting Indonesia.

“I am happy to have my face painted like this; it is my way of showing my support to the Indonesian team. I feel more confident to support Indonesia,” said Reno.
