JAKARTA - Debby Susanto and Praveen Jordan refuse to be intimidated with the most sacred Senayan Stadium badminton courts for it is known to world players. Having no pressure, she just wants to comfortably enjoy each match in BCA Metlife Indonesia Open Superseries Premier (BIOSSP) 2016.

As it is known, many top badminton players see Senayan as sacred. Not because of the ghosts haunting the hall, it is the noise made by the crowd that makes it hard to tamed.

"Cursed, not really. Why is it hard to win, perhaps the big ambition to become the champion makes a player rush and emotional when playing in the court," said Debby when interviewed at Kempinski Hotel, Jakarta, Wednesday (11/5).

She added everyone wanted to be the winner on their home ground. "We surely will give the best we can. But we also try not to overly excited. We are afraid that we will lose control which defects to our performance," she added.

Since becoming All England champion, her performance table together with Praveen is decreasing. How is it then approaching BIOSSP 2016

"It is in not technical. My body is not really in the best shape after the previous tournaments. But Praveen and I must participate to catch up with Olympic," who failed to win titles in Singapura Open, Malaysia Open and Asia Championship.

Praveen/Debby were fighting for one place for mixed doubles in Rio 2016 Olympic, Rio de Janeiro, Brasil. They were competing valiantly with South Korea's, Shin Baek Cheol/Chae Yoo Jung.

As it is known that the mixed doubles who get to the big eight will grab a ticket to Brasil on May 5 - August 22. Incredibly, Praveen/Debby could secure the eight position which brought them to accompany their fellow countrymen Tontowi Ahmad/Liliyana Natsir to the greatest sports even in the world.

They also add Indonesian Olympic contingent to 10 from 12 players that are expected to go thorugh by Satlak Prima. Beside Praveen/Debby and Owi/Butet, Indonesian Badminton Association also send Greysia Polii/Nitya Krishinda Maheswari in women's doubles, Mohammad Ahsan/Hendra Setiawan in men's doubles, Tommy Sugiarto in men's singles, and Linda Wenifanetri in women's singles.
