The match was played fiercely in three games. Receiving pressure and losing 17-21, Fajar/Rian were able to play more convincingly in the second game. They were able to continue to lead nad finally score a victory, 21-18.
However when the decisive set began, Fajar/Rian were unable to maintain their performance. They were forced to take 0-5 gap before they failed to win the final ticket after losing heavily, 12-21.
"The third game is the most crucial one, we were left far behind in the first and in the second game it was still the same game, the pattern was still smooth. The third start game we were far behind, maybe that's where the defeat factor lies," said Fajar after the match.
"They had good opening shots. And it will become a lesson for us to do better. We need to improve our calmness in the pitch," Rian said.
"I am personally satisfied with this semifinal result. But with today’s match, we are not happy because we didn't play optimally," Fajar concluded.
