Finding Her Best Shape, Li Xuerui Lost the First Set

Jakarta, - The title defender in women's singles, the BCA Indonesia Open Super Series Premier 2015 first seeded Li Xuerui, had a hard first match by being forced to play a three set game when taking on Soctland's Kirsty Gilmour. Li Xuerui emerged a winner with 10-21 21-15, dan 21-15.

Admitted by Li Xuerui the the two time Indonesia Open winner  (2013-2014), in the first set, she was still trying to get adapt.

“In the first set, I was trying to ge to know the court and I wasn't at my best and my opponent took the first set. But in the second and the third set, I started to enjoy the game," she said.

Li Xuerui won the title in 2013 after stunning Julaine Schenk from Germany in final match, and in 2014 she won the title by defeating Thailand's Ratchanok Intanon. 

This year, the 2012 London Olympic gold medalist admitted she doesn't set any particular target to record three winning streak.

“My target is one step at a time, as the competition is pretty tough," she said.

In the second round tomorrow, Thursday (4/6) Li Xuerui is to face Japanese player, Akane yamaguchi.
