Denmark's mixed doubles, Joachim Fischer/Christina Pedersen successfully tamed Istora Senayan, Jakarta at BCA Indonesia Open Super Series Premier (BIOSSP) 2014 event. The result also ends 23 years without titles for Denmark's mixed doubles at Indonesia Open.

The last time, Denmark's mixed doubles won a title at Indonesia Open in 1991 presented by Thomas Lund/Pernille Dupont, while Denmark's last victory at the event was in 2000 in women's singles (Camilla Martin).

Taking on China's, Xu Chen/Ma Jin, Fischer/Pederson won 18-21, 21-16, 21-14, Sunday, (22/6). It wasn't an easy win, however, playing fast and powerfully shown by both players pays their bitter failure in 2013 when both became the runner up.

"It is very tough to play here, especially for European players, and especially against China. After qualified to final last year, we finally make it this year," Fischer said.

"This victory is very meaningful. We love the crowds here, we love to play here," Pedersen added.

"We are proud of this victory and we will be back next year, and we will defend this title if possible," Fischer said.
