doubles, Ko Sung Hyun/Kim Ha Na, with 21-18 and 21-13.

The siblings received a fierce resistance in the first game. They
made a couple of mistakes. However, they luckily closed the game with
21 - 18.

Playing the first game, Kido/Pia learned a lot. They performed better in the second game. They could lead convincingly 14-7. Having not given up the fight, Ko/Kim tried to catch up 15 - 11 and Kido/Pia ended the game with 21 - 13.

"In the first game, our performance was below par. We tended to make mistakes. Hopefully, tomorrow's match we will do better," said Kido, after the match.

The tomorrow's second round, the China's first seed, Xu Chen/Ma Jin, has been ready to play against their opponent. The first seeded mixed doubles has been succeeded in defeating  Irfan Fadhilah/Weni Anggraini, 21-10 and 21-15.

"The tomorrow's opponent is tough. But we won't give up easily. We'll do our best to take them," Kido stated Pia stated that a world rank or seed is not a factor that discourages them. "We clearly have to prepare our physical condition. We will
perfor with nothing to lose," Pia added.
