Lindaweni Fanetri was forced
to retreat in a fierce three set match. Indonesia's women's singles
still has hopes.
It wasn't an easy task to defeat Lindaweni. Though losing, Lindaweni's effort is worth appreciated.
Saina stole her first point in the first set after winning the set 21
- 17. Not giving up, Lindawemi tried to catch up in the second set.
The drama was very thrilling and tight until the scores were nearly equal, 29 - 27.
"I have done my best. Saina is a tough player. She's got a consistent speed and pace. We both were aware of each other's way of playing," Lindaweni stated, Tuesday (11/6).
In the third set, both players were lacking of stamina and concentration. Pushin to the limit would not do much as the stamina was really critical. The thirs set was ended with 21-13 for Saina.
The crowds were festive at Senayan stadium, Tuesday (11/6). Every one
was amazed with the "early final" between Saina and Lindaweni.
"From the match, I am more motivated to practice even harder.
[Indonesian] Women's singles is not that inferior!" She stated.
