The Japan's badminton coach, Reony, admitted that he was glad to be able to perform in front of Indonesian public. Although losing, he always thinks it is always prestigious to play against his brothers.
"When on the court, there has always been prestige. But this is only an exhibition," he said.
Even though he is in Japan, Reony said he often shares every thing related to training program with his brother, Rexy. Rexy is currently the chief of development & achievement (Kepala Bidang Pembinaan Prestasi) at PBSI in which Marley is the coach of its women's singles.
"Communication should be maintained. We always keep in touch although not face to face," Reony said.
The family bond was also applied by both of them in training. Reony said he always prioritizes emotional bond between the coach and the players in order to achieve understanding and comfort.
It was proven, Japan won Thomas Cup 2014 in India a month ago. However, Reony admitted that Indonesia is better individually.
