JAKARTA - The All England 2016 champions, Praveen Jordan/Debby Susanto, refuse to be linked to their seniors, Tontowi Ahmad/Liliyana Natsir. Both agree to label themselves as tandems in mixed doubles.

According to Praveen, his achievement together with Debby is far below than what Owi/Butet have achieved as they have been in numerous tournaments and titles. Their position is only bringing upsets in every tournament they play.

Therefore, in this BCA Metlife Indonesia Open Superseries Premier he hopes he is able to once again deliver surprises for his country. Furthermore, their coach, Richard Mainaky, puts the 900 thousand dollar tournament to be their highest achievement this year.

Anticipating Indonesia Open Superseries Premier 2016, Praveen wants to prepare until the d-day on May 30. Adequate preparation is believed to result in the best result.

Even though unseeded by the Indonesian Badminton Association in Indonesia Open 2016, he claims to be not under pressure. Preparations have been made along with his partner and coach in determining the best strategy to be applied in the court.

Being dubbed as the All England champions does not pose them pressure. In fact, it is their motivation to prove they can fulfill the coach's trust by presenting maximum performance.

"No use to put pressure, just be confident. We could be the champion yesterday, why do we have to be worrisome at home?" Praveen said.

Praveen hopes for all Indonesian final in BCA Metlife Indonesia Open Superseries Premier 2016 mixed doubles. "If it is possible, no other players but Indonesian can win the title. If it is possible to have all Indonesian final, why not?" he said.

Praveen added Debby and he are still polishing their ability to be more developed in the future. Owi/Butet to them are role models, they also want to achieve more than what Owi/Butet have.
