JAKARTA - The quarter final has been the end of Hongkong's men's singles athlete journey, Hu Yun, at BCA Indonesia Open Super Series Premier 2014 tournament. In court #1 Senayan stadium, Jakarta, Hu Yun had to surrender from Japan's player, Kenichi Tago, in two games straight, 21-18 and 21-11.

Looking closely to Hu Yun's performance in the previous round when Hu Yun fought against Tago, it is said that the match was the anticlimax for BWF's 11 rank player. The match that had been predicted as a thrilling one turned out to be flat.

In the first game, Hu Yun still gave resistance as proven by the tight points. However, after stunning the home team's top seed, he seemed to lose his determination and fighting spirit completely.

No powerful smashes and amazing "net tricks" as he often shows. As a consequence, his opponent, the All England 2010 finalist, won easily to assure a ticket to semifinal to take on the Indonesia Open defender, Lee Chong Wei.
