Tago Surrendered To Alamsyah

Indonesia Open ‐ Created by

Alamsyah Yunus was the man behind Tago's failure, 24-22, 16-21, 21-17.

Alamsyah was on fire, while Tago was not in his best performance. He
had planned to gain his position in the BWF rank by winning a title in
Indonesia.

"My toe was injured. My legs felt hurt too. The support from the
Indonesian fans stressed me out. I did my best but it was tough, my
performance turned to be stagnant," Togo explained.

Playing with no burdens was the key of Alamsyah's success. The support
from the fans boosted his stamina.

"Alamsyah is not an offensive type of player. He's strength is
optimizing the net and playing forward," his coach Mulyo stated.

According to Alamsyah, playing against Tago made him play faster and
more aggressive.he also considers himself as a player that is not
finishing the ball rapidly. Therefore, it took a good stamina to deal
with the match.

"Tago was playing too slow. Even though he played "rally", I tended to
play it lower with slower tempo. I smashed the ball in the right
time," Alamsyah described.

Previously, Alamsyah has met tago for two times; in Japan Open 2008
and Macau Open 2011. Alamsyah lost them all.

"I was confident in playing against Tago. Just got nothing to lose,
since I am aware that he is "higher" than me. Supported by the fans, I
didn't feel the fatigue," said Alamsyah who is so called the King of
National Circuit (Sirnas).
