Taiwanese first seeded women's singles, Tai Tzu Ying, defeated Japan's Minatsu Mitani easily in the first round on Tuesday (13/6). Venued at JCC Plenary Hall, Tai Tzu took only 29 minutes to grab a win from Mitani in a two straight game, 21-8 and 21-12.

Playing on the number two court, Tai Tzu claimed she didn't encounter any obstacles. The opponent played slightly poorly after all.

"Today I played pretty well. And I was assisted by my opponent's the poor game. So I can win fast." Tai Tzu added.

Qualified to the second round, on Wednesday (13/6) tomorrow, Tai Tzu is awaiting for the winner from a matched played by Gregoria Mariska Tunjung with Chinese player Chen Yufei who are still playing when this article is being written.

"There is no strategy for tomorrow. Regarding the competition, [I just follow] step by step. The new venues is better compared to Istora. Because it made the ball control better and the wind was also not too hard." ended Tai Tzu.
