JAKARTA - The throne of the men's singles has been crowned to Denmark's Jan O Jorgensen in the final round of Indonesia Open Super Series Premier 2014, Sunday, (22/06/2014), after Jorgensen defeated Japan's top seed, Kenichi Tago, in two games straight, 21-18 dan 21-18.

The first game in the final match was thrilling since both sides took the lead alternately. Tago took the first lead in during the first game, 9-5, however Jorgensen who seemed to be more well prepared didn't just give up easily. He played high and short combinations forcing Tago to use his energy. The strategy worked, Tago started to be exhausted in the middle of the first game.

Entering the last phase of the game at, 18-18, Jorgensen who had better stamina made Tago incapable of gaining points. Jorgensen's smashes and net tricks were so deadly. The first game was won by Jorgensen when the score board showed 21-18.

The second game, the charismatic and eccentric Jorgensen dominated the game as he dictated Tago and forced him to follow his pace, as a result, the third seeded player managed to gain points. Tago's decreasing stamina contributed to Jorgensen's success.

Finally, a return hitting the net became the decisive victorious point. The 26 year old player made his first historical victory in winning the tournament among other world top players.
