Senayan stadium was roaring when Saina performed. Feels like home, Saina gained more self confidence, she smashed and attacked. Although her points were left behind her injury nightmare was putting her into a risk, Saina kept on performing brilliantly.
"Takahashi is a good player. It was a pretty fierce battle. It wasn't
easy to win," Saina admitted.
The support of Indonesian fans at the stadium assisted her to play
well. Saina hopes she can defend her title won in the last year's
DIOSSP.
Having had a tough match in women's singles in DIOSSP, Saina admitted
she didn't have enough preparation. Just before the biggest badminton
event, she had to take a rest for four to five weeks due to injury.
"Although having the injury, it's impossible to skip this tourney. As
you all know, I am happy to be here," said the player who has Susi
Susanti as her idol.
In quarter final, Saina will face Carolina Marlin from Spain. Marlin
goes to quarter final after previously beating Thailand's player
easily, Busanan Ongbumrungpan with 21-8, 21-16.
