Vittinghus Is Proud to Wear Batik

Batik is an Indonesian heritage. Not only Indonesian people who proud

of it but also a badminton player from Denmark, Hans Kristian

Vittinghus.

At the Welcome Dinner of Djarum Indonesia Open Super Series Premier (DIOSSP) 2013, Vittinghus wore Batik from Cirebon. He considers that

Indonesia [people] must exhibit the Batik to the world through sports
events such as the DIOSSP 2013.

"I'm very delighted and proud wearing the Batik. Last year's DIOSSP
theme was Superhero, right now it's Batik, this is extremely
interesting," Vittinghus stated at Sultan Hotel, Tuesday evening,
(11/6).

The player who is in men's singles category added that he only finds
Batik in Indonesia and he is glad he could be among 15 athletes chosen
to wear Batik at the gala dinner.

"I hope Indonesia will promote its culture regularly in every DIOSSP
events, including Batik," he said.
